Academic Program Roadmaps

This section presents sample academic roadmaps for each program, highlighting (*) courses offered in both semesters to enhance scheduling flexibility.  Unstarred courses are only offered in one semester – the semester in which they appear in the roadmaps.
 

• Students are encouraged to review the pertinent roadmap before meeting with the Director of Undergraduate Studies (DUS). This preliminary review helps streamline the discussion with the DUS, which would be helpful during the busy start of each semester and when preparing a four-year plan.
   
• There are two roadmaps for each of the three degree programs, depending on the first mathematics courses that are taken at Yale.
   
• These roadmaps serve as general guidelines: many variations are possible and should be discussed in detail with the DUS during individual advising sessions.
