Undergraduate Admissions
Prospective undergraduate students interested in Yale Engineering should apply through Yale College's Office of Undergraduate Admissions. While there is no separate application process for Yale Engineering, we encourage applicants to share their passion for engineering and highlight any relevant experiences and aspirations. Yale's holistic admissions process values not only academic excellence but also creativity, curiosity, and the desire to make an impact.

Graduate Admissions
Admission to our graduate programs is open to students with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree or its equivalent in any field of engineering or in related areas (physics, chemistry, computer science, mathematics, and materials science).
Deadlines for submitting your application:
Doctoral and Master’s Program:
The application deadline is December 15 for fall term enrollment (there is no spring term admission). Look for application instructions at the Yale Graduate School website. Applications are accepted online only. Information on standardized testing requirements for doctoral and master’s applications may be found here.
Please note that if you are applying to a department in which GRE scores are optional and you choose to self-report your GRE scores in your application, you will be required to also submit official test results for verification purposes. Applicants whose native language is not English and whose undergraduate studies were completed in a college or university where English is not the primary language of instruction must provide official TOEFL/IELTS scores.
Non-Degree Program:
Applications are currently accepted on a continuous basis. Applications must be submitted no later than 90 days prior to your intended start date. Instructions, information on standardized testing requirements and the application can be found here.
