2025-2026 Faculty Searches
Yale University seeks to recruit a faculty member at the ASSISTANT PROFESSOR level to Yale's interdisciplinary Energy Sciences Institute, which unites members of multiple departments. The Institute is one of several science and engineering initiatives located at Yale's West Campus, a 137-acre campus whose acquisition in 2007 has provided the University with unparalleled opportunities to expand its activities in cutting-edge research areas. We seek a creative scholar in the areas of energy conversion, energy storage, and/or energy sustainability who will have a primary appointment in the Department of Materials Science. Candidates should have an outstanding record of research that demonstrates originality in addressing significant questions in the study of energy. The successful candidate is expected to initiate a vibrant research group, be an interactive member of the Materials Science Department, and teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree at the time of hire. Please address questions to Professor Eric Atman (eric.altman@yale.edu)
